Femke Hiemstra will have brand new work on display starting tomorrow, August 7th, 2014, at Roq La Rue in Seattle, Washington for her show “Wartem al Waldrand.” Hiemstra’s imaginative concoctions of animals and surrealism weaves a narrative strand into childhood fantasy as well as nightmarish landscapes. Patrick Fisher (It’s been a few years) has been hard at work creating more and more of his highly detailed, highly stylized illustrations - many of which he draws on guitars, like above. After collaborating together on a huge mural for POW! WOW! Hawaii 2014 artists Kamea Hadar and Defer have continued working together on an ongoing project they’ve entitled “Paradise Lost.” The project will see an upcoming show on Thursday August 7th, 2014 at 1st Amendment Gallery in San Francisco, California and will feature collaborative works on canvas by the two gifted artists. There will also be murals put up by the team around San Francisco and with future projects scheduled for Los Angeles, Israel and Hawaii.
